City of Fremantle Art Collection

The City of Fremantle Art Collection is vested in the City of Fremantle and was established in 1958 with the donation of 43 Australian paintings by Sir Claude Hotchin. The Collection includes both historical and contemporary artworks primarily by artists who work or live in Fremantle. Significant holdings include works about Fremantle, largest collection of paintings by Kathleen O'Connor in a public collection and a National holding of Australian Prints which includes works acquired from the Fremantle Print Award established in 1976.
